Yesterday, this year's group of Advanced Placement Biology students arrived at the Palisades High School at 4:45.  We then took a bus to Newark Airport and took off for St. Thomas.  Next we took a ferry to St. John and attempted to take a bus to our cabins, but along the way our luggage fell off the back of the bus.  Luckily nothing was seriously damaged.  Once we got settled into our cabins, we threw on our bathing suits and relaxed on the beach.  To conclude the night, we ate dinner and had a brief meeting about the island, the rules we must follow, and the activities for the next day.  Today eveyone met at 9:00 and we split up into 3 groups.  Then we snorkeled for the rest of the morning.  The water was really clear and we saw tons of beautiful fish.  After that we ate lunch.  Then we did activities including the birds of the Island, the website, and challenge by choice activities.  So far this trip has been really exciting.
